Students That Achieve Results
One of our goals at Team 4 Success is to advance our STAR Program (Students That Achieve Results). We delight in the fact that 100% of participants graduate from high school and 99% continue to post-secondary education.
Implemented in 2017, this group of students is afforded the resources and opportunities necessary to empower and ensure their success. It is our intent to nurture, mentor, support and motivate each student to their fullest potential. We are committed to a program of thirty students, selected based on the criteria set forth, which reflects the purpose of the program and must be applied fairly to all students in grades 7th-12th grade in the Lake County school district regardless of race, gender, religion or socioeconomic status.
· Student must receive favorable recommendation from teacher, school counselor and/or principal
· Student must maintain an exceptional school attendance and disciplinary record
· Student must be engaged in activities demonstrating high motivation, initiative, integrity, and leadership qualities
· Student must demonstrate an unusual commitment to learning despite various obstacles
· Students must display a high likelihood of successful completion of post secondary education
· Student must actively participate in the program set forth during the school year.
As the students navigate through the program, they actively participate in college tours, community service activities, educational summer camps, along with a plethora of life skills lessons. The most rewarding amenity is receiving a Team 4 Success scholarship.
